BoardCalc is a Palm-OS calculator that works with either fractions or decimal values as pure numbers, length, area or volume. Board Calc can convert to or from inches / feet / board feet / mm / cm / meters, or calculate board feet from two or three dimensions.
A log weight/yield calculator uses species, diameter and length to estimate the weight of a log. The board feet yield of the log is calculated using either Scribner, Doyle or International 1/4-inch log rules. A shrinkage calculator uses species, grain direction, width and relative humidities to calculate change in size of a board.
